LIFESTYLE & BUSINESS COACHING

What Coaching is

The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as an ongoing partnership designed to help clients produce fulfilling results in both their professional and personal lives. Which is particularly important in today's uncertain and complex environment. Coaches honor the client as the expert in his or her life and work and believe every client is creative, resourceful and whole. A survey of executive coaches published in the January 2009 issue of the Harvard Business Review notes that executive coaches are engaged to develop people with high potential and act as a sounding board.

Standing on this foundation, the coach's responsibility is to:

♦Discover, clarify, and align with what the client wants to achieve

     ♦Encourage client self-discovery

     ♦Elicit client-generated solutions and strategies

♦Hold the client responsible and accountable

This process helps clients dramatically improve their outlook on work and life, while improving their leadership skills and unlocking their potential.

Coaching is different from consulting or therapy. It focuses on the future, fosters individual performance in a business context and helps individuals and executives discover their own path.

There are many reasons why people choose to work with a coach, including:

♦Something is at stake (a challenge, goal or opportunity) that is urgent, compelling or exciting,

     ♦Desire to accelerate results, or

♦Lack of clarity and choices to be made.

What Happens in a Coaching Meeting?

We will schedule meetings at a frequency that best suits your needs. Meetings will start with you bringing forward a topic for consideration. Together we will affirm where you want to go with that issue in the time available. We then have a guided conversation. Generally each meeting ends with a recap of the options to which you have committed.

I will ask you to consider what measures you can use to indicate the success of our coaching meetings. I will also ask you for frank feedback on what is or is not working for you in our meetings.

If you are keen to learn, evolve and engage in the coaching process with me, I ask that you start our coaching sessions with an open mind. Success is defined by building one’s strengths into affirmative outcomes.

Executive Coaching is an emerging profession, both within organizations where coaches enhance the leadership capacities of key staff and managers, and externally, where coaches work with business leaders.

Coaching is a collaborative partnership between a coach and a willing individual or individuals, which connects the deep personal level of beliefs, values and vision in a confidential and respectful environment. Many organizations are discovering the potential, value and benefit of business coaching.

Coaching supports high functioning leaders and managers to bridge the gap
to their next level of success. It therefore makes sense that these techniques are applicable to anyone wanting to move forward with an issue. Success is defined by building one’s strengths into affirmative outcomes.

The best way to understand the power of coaching is to experience it. That is what this offer is about. We ‘learn by doing’ and this is a critical component of the Coaching Navigator Become a Coach Leader program.

Our meetings can be in person, over the phone or on-line via Zoom or Skype type technology. I am very pleased you are considering this experience and we can discuss further the details on how to would like to proceed.

I look forward to working with you and watching your transformation as your Mind Body Lifestyle Business Coach.

Kind regards,

Susan
