You may feel a slight pinch upon insertion of the needles or nothing at all. Once the needles are inserted, most people experience a deep sense of relaxation and many fall asleep.
The benefits of acupuncture include rebalancing energy, increased relaxation, improved circulation, pain reduction, reduced healing time, and decreased muscle tension. Acupuncture can treat a wide range of conditions including headaches, insomnia, digestive disorders, menstrual irregularities and PMS.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is an ancient medicine being over 3000 years old. Compared to Western medicine, TCM views ailments and the body from a different perspective. Although it may be used synergistically alongside Western medicine to help improve its outcome, TCM is based on the concept of ‘qi’ (pronounced "Chi") or ‘vital energy’ circulating in meridians throughout the body. Any blockage in these pathways disrupts the flow of qi leading to imbalance and undesirable psychological or physical symptoms. By using acupuncture, herbs, and a lifestyle changes, we can correct those imbalances and restore optimal health.
Acupuncture has been recognized by The World Health Organization (WHO) for over 100 different conditions including pain, women's health complaints, infertility, internal disorders, mental & emotional conditions, anxiety, depression and stress.
